The UK inter-merchant price range for austenitic alloy steel scrap roseby ￡50 per tonne this week as the nickel price continued its recentrecovery, sources said on Friday October 13.Metal Bulletin’s weekly price assessment for inter-merchant 18/8scrap solids in the UK was ￡900-950 ($1,191-1,257) per tonne deliveredon Friday. This compared with ￡850-900 per tonne on October 6.The London Metal Exchange three-month official nickel bid/offerspread was $11,660/11,670 per tonne on October 13. This was up sharplyfrom $10,575/10,580 per tonne on October 6.
