European indium prices rose on Friday October 13 amid tighteningsupply of crude indium – the raw material of indium ingot.Metal Bulletin’s indium in-warehouse Rotterdamquotation climbed to $200-220 per tonne from $190-210 per tonnepreviously.“It’s fun to have something going on for a change. Indium hasbeen dead for two years,” a producer said.“The raw material shortage, pollution crackdown, rumours of a bigChinese buyer buying material over the past few weeks – it all makesfor a nice narrative. Traders are making a good story out of it andselling it others and its working,” the producer said.
