US FeMn, FeMo imports remain robust in June

US inflows of ferro-manganese and ferro-molybdenum maintaineda robust pace in June, while ferro-vanadium imports slumped.US ferro-silicon imports rebounded during the month of June, yetinflows for the first six months of 2017 remain well behind the paceset the year prior.June’s imports were primarily bolstered by the return of Chineseferro-silicon to the US market, as inflows from China totalled 2,890tonnes during the month. Prior to June, Chinese ferro-silicon hadbeen largely absent from the US market, as imports over the first fivemonths of 2017 totalled only 1,812 tonnes. Over that time, the previousmonthly high was 773 tonnes in May.
