Zinc prices could move up this year as China’s sustained zincconcentrate shortage finally seems to have hit its metal market,according to Morgan Stanley Research.The country’s inventories are “critically low” right now – just as theindustry enters peak demand season for galvanizers – likely leadingto some short-term upside for the zinc price, analysts at USA-basedMorgan Stanley said in a May 29 report.
