Rusal’s Boksitogorsk alumina refinery increases production capacity

UC Rusal has increased the total output capacity of corundumproducts at its Boksitogorsk refinery to 79,000 tpy, after thecompletion of a $1.65 million upgrade project, according to acompany statement. The refinery produced 69,000 tonnes of corundum products in2016. Production of refractory materials and abrasives will be increasedby 6,000 tpy and 4,000 tpy respectively, the company said.
