Brazil’s CSN to modernise three continuous slab casters by 2018

Brazilian steelmaker CSN has hired Primetals Technologies tomodernise three continuous slab casters at its plant in Volta Redondacity, in the country’s south-eastern Rio de Janeiro state.The installation work is scheduled for the second half of 2018,during a programmed shutdown, with the commissioning of theequipment planned for the third quarter of 2018, according toPrimetals.
