Gerdau has entered into an agreement to form a joint venture withPutney Capital Management, based on the sale of its 50% interest inColombia’s Gerdau Diaco, it announced on Wednesday March 29.The new company’s assets will be formed by Gerdau’s long steelunits in Colombia, which have a combined installed steel productioncapacity of 674,000 tpy.
