Prices for rebar produced and delivered in Northern Europe were flat again over the week ended Wednesday October 10, and the previously bullish sentiment about the market’s future direction may be starting to cool.Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for domestic rebar in Northern Europe stayed at €550-570 ($631-654) per tonne on October 10, with almost no new business reported.Some sellers have been happy to predict that higher prices will be seen through the rest of the year because of good demand and higher raw material costs, but that demand has yet to materialize and there are now signs that prices could be headed in a downward direction.
