The majority of European ferro-chrome market participants expect the ferro-chrome benchmark price to drop for the fourth quarter, with predictions for the settlement coming in at $1.23 per lb on average.Such a reduction would represent a fall of $0.15 per lb or 9.2% for the fourth quarter compared with the third quarter price of $1.38, which was in itself a 2.8% or 4 cent reduction from the second quarter.
