MMG posts increase in H1 profit, revenue

Australian-Chinese miner MMG posted a 1.42% year-on-year increase in its earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) to $984.2 million in the first half of 2018, due to higher commodity prices realized during the period.The company's net profit after tax from continuing operations rose to $188.8 million for the first six months of the year ended June 30, up from the $102.4 million recorded during the first half of 2017, according to a financial report released by the company on Monday August 20. This value included $124.2 million attributable to equity holders, up 1,674% year on year.
