China's steel futures trended downward to end negatively for the day, while the steelmaking raw materials contracts closed higher than the settlement levels on Monday.The country's spot rebar prices gained 10-30 yuan per tonne in the day while those for hot-rolled coil fell to a similar extent.While trading activity for iron ore was described as "not bad" at Chinese ports with rangebound prices, only one seaborne deal was heard concluded on a platform at the time of writing.
