BHP approves $2.9 bln South Flank iron ore project

BHP's board approved a capital expenditure of $2.9 billion on its share basis for its South Flank iron ore project in Western Australia's central Pilbara region, it said late on Thursday June 14.In line with the planned timing for approval, the project remains expected to deliver its first ore in 2021, and to run for over 25 years.
