A leading Japanese steel mill expects Asian hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices to rise from the first quarter of next year, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.“The steel major expects a better price environment for flat steel once international mills reduce their supply for the Asian markets,” the producer source told Fastmarkets MB this week.The source expects the supply of Russia-origin HRC to fall from the first three months of 2019.
