Prices for ammonium paratungstate (APT) and tungsten concentrate in China fell to two-year lows on Wednesday July 3, with softer-than-expected demand ahead of the upcoming summer lull and ample supply weighing on both markets. Fastmarkets assessed the China export APT, min 88.5% WO3, price at $210-220 per metric tonne unit (mtu) on Wednesday, down by 8.5% from an assessed price of $230-240 per mtu a week earlier and the lowest since April 2017.
