Yildirim plans Voskhod chrome ore output stoppage amid poor market conditions

Kazakh miner Voskhod Chrome will stop chrome ore production from January 2020 due to “unfavorable market conditions”, owner Yildirim Group announced on Monday October 7. The Turkish industrial group had already reduced production at Voskhod by 30% previously and will suspend production from January 2020 until markets improve, it said, adding that lost production may amount to 250,000 tonnes.
