China’s CRC, HDG export prices decline on reduced demand

Export prices for Chinese cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil fell over the past week amid slow trading activity. Most cities in China officially resumed work on Monday February 10 following an extended Lunar New Year holiday enforced to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus that was first detected in Wuhan, China. But Chinese sources told Fastmarkets most domestic end users had not fully resumed operations and this was likely to place pressure on CRC prices due to reduced demand.
