Turkey has renewed its interest in the United States’ East Coast ferrous scrap export market, with a cargo booked on Wednesday October 14 at a $2-per-tonne increase from the prior sale. The 30,000-tonne sale includes 6,000 tonnes of an 80:20 mix of No1 and No2 heavy melting scrap at $287 per tonne, 7,000 tonnes of shredded scrap at $292 per tonne and 17,000 tonnes of bonus-grade scrap at $297 per tonne.
