MOUNTAIN GORILLA REVIVAL IN RWANDA

Twenty years ago the genocide in Rwanda was headline news. So for the country to have delivered one of the most significant conservation wins ever is even more remarkable.Though still classed as Critically Endangered, mountain gorilla numbers have more than doubled from a population low in the early 1980s to some 880 today, split between two populations and three countries - Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)and Uganda.
