Traders seek to divert China CFR cargoes amid import restrictions

Some coking coal cargoes sold on a delivered China basis are being renegotiated to FOB deals, as shippers try to divert cargoes away from the logistical risks posed by China's restrictions on imports. At the moment traders say no cargoes to China can clear customs, despite the paradoxical situation where demand has remained strong.
