United States (US) natural gas (natgas) prices have resurged in the past week to levels not seen since 2014. Combined with low thermal coal stockpiles - below 20 days for some generating units - US miners are enjoying strong demand for their products from domestic power generators, blunting the impact of weakening prices in international markets, which could extend into the first half of 2019.
