China's shandong suspends third of mines after fatal accident

Shandong province in eastern China has suspended operations at 41 of its 115 coal mines after three miners were killed in a rock burst accident on Saturday. The suspended mines are understood to mostly produce metallurgical coal and have around 80-85 mt/y of capacity. They are expected to be out of action for at least one to two weeks.
