Indian Railways October coal loading up 9% on year

Indian Railways' (IR) October coal railings increased 9% year on year to 49.73 mt from 45.53 mt, and rose 13% on the month from 43.99 mt, according to provisional data. The increase was attributed to improved turnaround of rail cars and a reduced allocation of cars to other industries. October coal railings were also 8% above the company's 46.06 mt target.
