Chinese buyers lent some support to spot prices this week with a December loading premium low-vol cargo of Saraji sold at $146.00/t CFR China, down only marginally on a $146.50/t CFR China trade the previous week for the same brand. This was one of four seaborne premium hard coking coal trades reported on a CFR China basis, including a premium midvol Peak Downs North cargo in December at $141/t CFR and a Panamax of Glencore low-vol (GLV) booked at $138/t CFR. The same cargo was transacted at $140/t CFR China to a trader.
