Turkey’s steam and other coal imports rose 13% year on year in October, and were 30% higher on a monthly basis, as colder temperatures pushed up electricity consumption. Steam coal imports stood at 3.43 mt in October, from 3.02 mt in October 2018 and up from 2.65 mt in September, according to the latest customs data.
