Falling German renewables lift coal burn but clean-darks still negative

A fall in renewables and rise in power prices helped German coal- fired power plants cut losses over the past fortnight, moving closer to break even. German power prices averaged around EUR43.03/MWh for the week ending 17 May, a rise of 13% from EUR38.19/MWh two weeks ago.
