China’s coal traders were again beset by uncertainty over the direction of the country’s import restriction as China kick started an eight-day long holiday break on Thursday. Speculation on a relaxation of import controls emerged again as Beijing weighed increasing supplies to power plants in northeastern China against keeping import volumes in line with last year’s level.
