US’ Alliance 2021 export bookings focused on met coal, PCI

United States miner Alliance Resource Partners (ARLP) has not booked any export thermal coal sales for 2021, in sharp contrast to 2019, when 27% of the miner’s volume was built on overseas shipments. However, 0.60 mst (short tons) of Northern Appalachian metallurgical coal has been booked for export from the company’s Mettiki operation as well as 0.30 mst in PCI from Alliance’s MC Mining operation in Central Appalachia, company executives said during its third-quarter earnings call.
