Sasol’s external coal sales drop 41% in FY2020

Sasol’s external thermal coal sales, which include seaborne and domestic, fell 41% in fiscal year (FY) 2020, as the South African chemicals firm diverted more supplies for internal use during the first half and COVID-19 hit demand in the second. External sales totalled 1.9 mt in the fiscal year ending 30 June, compared to 3.2 mt in each of the previous two years. Sasol typically sells 5,800 kc NAR min material.
