Indian power plant coal stocks ease 1% on week

Coal stocks at Indian power plants fell 1% in the latest week as consumption was enough to ofset an increase in supplies from Coal India (CIL). Stocks at the 135 coal-fired plants (162.53 GW) monitored by the country’s Central Electricity Authority (CEA) totaled 33.45 mt on 29 September, down from 34.61 mt on 22 September.
