Sulphur prices fall and rumoured even lower

Several sulphur price assessments were slashed this week based on latest reported sales, and there were rumours of some deals done at even lower prices. Muntajat’s latest 35,000 t sulphur sales tender was reported awarded around $147/t FOB this week, more than $20/t lower than its October offering, though some offers were around $130/t FOB. There were also rumours of spot sales from the Middle East around $130/t FOB, but these were not yet confirmed.
