Black Sea: Ammonia prices adjusted slightly higher

Availability of Black Sea ammonia outside contract commitments for prompt lifting is reported virtually nonexistent owing to rolling maintenance at TogliattiAzot, strong Russian and Ukrainian ammonia demand and a heavy programme of contract shipments. A handful of traders urgently seeking cover appear willing to pay above $250/t FOB to secure any spot tonnage that emerges, with sellers citing established Baltic Sea prices already as high as $270/t FOB. As such Black Sea prices have been assessed at $250-260/t FOB on an indicative basis.
