India: New urea tender floated as Iran concern grows

The long-awaited tender for urea to complement purchases made by MMTC via the August 1 tender was floated September 27 by the same agency as highlighted in a separate entry. The Department of Fertilizers had been evaluating pending issues ahead of the clearance. These included concern over logistics problems to timely move added imports into end-user regions, as well as continuing payment problems for urea emanating from Iran.
