The Clean Fuels project in Kuwait is subject to further delays, according to a source at KPC, suggesting a tighter sulphur market in 2019 than previously expected. The Mina Abdullah refinery started the commissioning process in Q3 2018 as part of the Clean Fuels Project (CFP). Mina Abdullah is forecast to increase sulphur production in 2019 by 180,000 t with the addition of a 400 t/day sulphur recovery unit (SRU), according to CRU analysis.
