The October 5 MMTC tender in India that calls for offers for urea to load by November 19 remained in focus this week. MMTC’s declaration that offers for urea from 'origins against which sanctions have been imposed/likely to be imposed, shall not be considered and price bids of such tenders shall not be opened' added fire to speculation of substantial price increases above prior estimates as October 4 progressed.
