Majority of participants wary of spot purchases

A handful of ammonia spot deals are reported east and west of Suez, but most market participants are watching from the sidelines. Uncertainty over future price direction prevails with buyers awaiting clarity following meetings at upcoming industry conferences in Singapore and Athens. There is no consensus regarding ammonia availability west of Suez. At least one Black Sea supplier suggests limited demand against improving supply will lead to lower Yuzhnyy indications while a trader suggested ammonia purchases outside contract commitments are hard to come by.
