Spot prices for sulphur exports from the Middle East were assessed up at an indicative $170-175/t FOB from $165-175/t, as prices below $170/t FOB were unlikely to be achievable given tight availability. This week's award of the latest Muntajat tender in the low-to-mid-$170s/t FOB provided a firm indication of what buyers were willing to pay for sulphur cargoes, with a lack of spot availability elsewhere.
