Granular potash sales west of the Mississippi river mostly are reported at $290-295/st FOB, according to distributors. Sellers expect higher demands from producers not just because of bullish expectations for planted corn and soybean acres in the spring, but also because of the large yields predicted by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). The higher yields will have larger than normal nutrient volumes from the soil that will need to be replaced.
