Some large Indian MOP importers are reported to be offering discounts in the range of INR 300-700 ($4-10)/t from the maximum retail price (MRP) of INR 14,000 ($204)/t to encourage buying for the Kharif season. As suggested in prior weeks, some importers are considering increasing the MRP in India as depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar has increased the cost of importing MOP.
