Saudi Arabia's Sabic said first-quarter net profit rose by 5.4% year on year to SAR 5.51 billion ($1.47 billion), buoyed by higher sales volumes and prices, the company said April 29. Revenues increased by 15% year on year to SAR 41.86 billion in the first quarter, while operating profits rose by 7.2% to SAR 8.94 billion. Gross profits climbed 5% to SAR 14.21 billion.
