Europe: FOB assessment steady but spot scarce

Spot prices for sulphuric acid exports from European smelters were assessed unchanged at $50-60/mt FOB Northwest Europe on an indicative basis, as a lack of availability led to a lack of spot sales. Although European buyers’ had steady demand for contractual volumes, there did not appear to be any additional demand from these buyers for spot tonnes, sources said.
