Southeast Asia’s standard MOP spot market was assessed unchanged at an indicative $250-265/mt CFR as there was a lack of clarity over whether Petrokimia Gresik had awarded its previously-reported tender. One market participant suggested that awards totalling as much as 350,000 mt MOP had been made by Gresik within the range of $280-290/mt CFR for arrival in Indonesia by October 2017, while another reported that nothing had been announced and that the volumes were not this high.
