US: January-July phosrock imports up 45%

US phosphate rock imports in the first seven months of 2017 increased 45% to 1.2 million mt, according to new data from IHS GTA. Rock imports from Peru increased 9.3% to 779,070 mt, while volumes from Morocco more than tripled to 407,270 mt from 131,500 mt, Italy shipped 20,464 mt, while the US also imported 18,089 mt from China.
