Mediterranean: Assessment up; buyers resist increases

Spot prices for sulphur cargoes of 10,000 mt or less in the Mediterranean region were assessed slightly higher on the week at $100-105/mt CFR from $93-103/mt, though offer levels have climbed well above this range. It has been several weeks since any conclusions below $100/mt CFR have been heard, and some in the market believe that even this level would be difficult for buyers to find. The lowest spot price heard concluded over the past two weeks was $103/mt CFR.
