Sales of standard MOP in Southeast Asia remained slow this week, with market participants waiting for fresh information regarding a new benchmark Chinese contract price. Some producers report that they are targeting slight price increases of a couple of dollars in some parts of the region. Prices in Malaysia and Indonesia remain in the high $220s/mt CFR, according to one supplier. Still, levels can only be pegged indicatively due to a lack of current business.
