Brazil: Jan-July P2O5 consumption up 21%

Brazil’s total P2O5 consumption between January and July 2020 totalled 3.1 Mt, up 21% year on year, according to ANDA data. Brazil imported 8.9 Mt granular phosphates (DAP/MAP/TSP/SSP/NPK/NP and NPS) in the first 10 months of 2020, a 4% rise year on year as increases in DAP/MAP imports more than offset lower TSP, SSP and NPK volumes, according to a recent IHS Markit data.
