Egypt: AQ and HFC sell granular at $240/t FOB

Abu Qir Fertilizer (AQ) has sold 20,000 t granular to an unnamed buyer at $240/t FOB in its January 15 tender for 25,000 t. Helwan Fertilizer Co. (HFC) also booked 7-10,000 t at the same price on January 22-23 with a European trader. Both sales are for first half February loading. HFC indicated that it only has an additional 10,000 t available to load in February. The HFC tonnage is heading for Gemlik in Turkey with a vessel expected for loading this week.The sale to Gemlik was suggested booked at $263/t CFR with 180 days credit.
