Phosphoric acid contract for Q2 remains elusive

DAP/MAP market activity remains subdued outside India, where talks over the second quarter’s phosphoric acid contract again hit delays this week. DAP prices are mainly stable as limited near-term availability offset a glut in demand in most markets. One exception is in the US where New Orleans barge prices slumped back down to $260-264/st FOB from a peak of $295/st FOB just three weeks ago.
