India: Apr-Dec DAP production up 33%

India's DAP production reached 3.44 Mt in April-December, up 33% year on year, according to updated FAI data. December production hit 470,010 t, a 50% increase year on year. The increase in fertilizer year-to-date DAP output came amid a drop in phosphoric acid prices through 2019. India’s DAP imports totalled 4.3 Mt in April-December, down 23% year on year, with December imports down 47% from the same month of 2018 at 186,000 t.
