US potash surge fades but demand remains supportive

The recent potash price surge in US markets was halted this week, but strong agricultural fundamentals and reports of tightened supply again largely held aloft spot prices elsewhere. Brazilian granular MOP spot prices were assessed unchanged at an average of $250/t CFR for the fourth consecutive week and appear increasingly likely to maintain stability through the end of 2020 despite seasonally slow demand.
