Indonesia: Major Kaltim urea volume to head for Philippines

Pupuk Kaltim sold a total of 55,000 t granular urea and 30,000 t prills this week to multiple traders and Philippine importers at $233-234/t FOB Bontang for full June shipment, according to local sources. The split by buyer was not available, but Samsung was suggested to have taken the majority of the tonnage. Other buyers included Universal Harvester Inc. (UHI) in the Philippines for 20,000 t granular and 10,000 t prills. Sales by Samsung were suggested to other Philippine buyers, including Farmix and Atlas. Swire may also have purchased some of the tonnage.
